I’m quite happy to work with performers and currently [at the moment Nov 2008] working on a piece for Piano + electronics and a chamber piece for the Ossian Ensemble + Scratch DJ featuring the principal section leaders of the London Contemporary Orchestra. I also work with students of the Royal College of Music, soon to include a piece for Bari-sax, voice and percussion + electronics.
Check out www.MajorC.co.uk for Christopher’s Film Music showreel + writings/music.
That’s when he’s not tap-dancing or playing Final Fantasy VII.

Very cool stuff you are doing! I am Fire Centaur from English Village in Second Life, and also Founder of Second Life Link for facebook.
Im Paul Preibisch in RL
I too am doing bot research, mainly for my island – my island is for educational purposes – and teaching English – I am currently building greeter bots.
Im curious about packets. Can you give me a few leads on how you are using these?
I know C# but have never used packets before. Any help / insight would be appreciated.
Keep up the good work!

Hey — I’m told (via the grapevine) that you might have completed your experiment for manipulating/scratching sound files using fft. True? False?
I’m working on the same thing, and wondered if I could pick your brain.
Thanks much
Mike

Haha mike you can pick the brain but I won’t be responsible for whatever you might find! What’s your email address I can send you my Max/MSP patches which is what i’ve been using for manipulating sound files in real time using my turntables.
and John thanks yep do also send me your email address. I’ll post up some videos as soon as I have access to the tapes from the recent music-word poets gig in Belfast plus the theatre production I did live audio for recently.
incidentally…what grapevine are you picking from? i don’t remember posting online about the fft stuff hehe
